Additionally, we take the time to sand every sign by hand after it is cut, for a smooth finished product. PVC is UV resistant, and will not yellow over time. Your product will arrive ready to hang as-is, or ready if you would like to paint it a different color. If you would like to paint your sign, we recommend using an exterior acrylic based paint. PVC is an easy material to paint yourself, and takes paint very well. There is no need to prime or seal the paint, since the material is already weatherproof. We take the time to hand sand every sign after it's cut, so it is smooth and prepped for painting if you choose to paint it yourself. \u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003ePlease note that we do not recommend painting PVC dark colors if installed in areas that get direct sunlight.\u003c\/span\u003e Dark pigments in the paint absorb significantly more heat from the sun than lighter colors, transferring this intense heat to the PVC material underneath. While PVC naturally expands and contracts with temperature changes, the excessive, uneven heat from dark paint can cause it to expand too much to return to its original dimensions when it cools, leading to warping.
